Furthermore, in 2010 we invested in LocusTelecommunications, Inc., and Total Call International, Inc., twocompanies that are developing mobile communications businesstargeting the steadily increasing U.S. immigrant population. With a population of around 65million*1, Myanmar’s mobile phone penetration rate is approximately 10%*2, whilepenetration of fixed-line telephony is only around 1%*2. KDDI plans to take advantageof the technologies and expertise it has built up in Japan to develop high-quality,efficient infrastructure in Myanmar, aiding the effort to provide stable communicationsservices there.
