Leveraging the partnerships wehave cultivated with these companies through international telephony,we also offer “GLOBAL PASSPORT,” the international aumobile phone roaming service.成長の著しいミャンマーで通信事業を展開2014年7月、KDDI、住友商事、MPTの3社共同で、ミャンマーでの通信事業を開始しました。2013年に約13%*1だった同国の携帯電話の普及率は、2015年現在では約50%*2に達しています。KDDIは、通信品質の向上、エリアカバレッジの拡大などに取り組み、さらに多くのミャンマー国民の方々に携帯電話およびインターネットなど、通信サービスを快適にご利用いただくための環境整備を進めています。KDDIは、これからもミャンマーで、高品質かつ効率的なインフラ構築を進め、安定した通信サービスを提供していきます。　　*1 出典：JICAミャンマー通信網改善事業事前評価表*2 出典：各社IR発表に基づく当社推計値Developing the Telecommunications Business inFast-Growing MyanmarIn July 2014, KDDI entered the telecommunications business inMyanmar as part of a three-company collaboration with SumitomoCorporation and MPT. This business has succeeded in boostingmobile phone penetration from around 13%* in 2013 to some 50%*in 2015. By improving telecommunications quality and expandingarea coverage, we are working to bring convenient mobile telephone,Internet, and other telecommunications services to even morepeople in Myanmar.
